Now, in modern times, 3D Seismic is used to locate potential oil reserves, before a drill bit hits the ground. 3D Seismic is very similar to a sonogram a pregnant mother would have to be able to see healthy ten fingers and toes of her baby. 3D Seismic science and oil exploration, go together like meat and potatoes. The marriage of 3D Seismic science and new drilling innovations have revolutionized oil exploration, allowing older fields to be brought back to life and new fields to be discovered.
Why is everybody in the oil industry talking about Carson Energy’s Honey Pot Prospect? Let’s start with the nearly $900,000,000 in potential high quality oil. According to industry experts, Honey Pot should produce about 400 acres worth of oil and gas, containing an estimated 123,000,000,000 cubic feet of gas and over 5,000,000,000 barrels of oil.
